The Diverse Books for All Coalition, a national consortium of over 50 nonprofits and membership organizations working together to increase access to affordable, high quality children’s books by and about diverse races, cultures, identities, and abilities, announced today a $250,000 grant from the Buffett Early Childhood Fund to support the infrastructure and work of the Coalition. Among its strategies, the Diverse Books for All Coalition, which includes many of the nation’s largest nonprofits that distribute books to children, will leverage the power of aggregate buying to influence the availability and pricing of diverse children’s books. This grant comes after receiving inaugural support for this work from The W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 2022.
